Ongoing Support for Your Project in Syria from Abroad

We act as the local point of contact for your project in Syria while you manage it from abroad. You get a named contact person, regular progress reports, cost overviews with organized receipts and a clear list of open tasks and decisions. Payments and major decisions follow an approval process you define in writing.

What we offer

At the start we name a contact person responsible for your project and agree on communication channels, times and language. Together we set the reporting rhythm (weekly, fortnightly or monthly) and content: what was done, what is delayed and why, upcoming appointments, spending and the decisions waiting for you.

We organize project-related spending in a clear statement that links each item to its receipt or invoice and compares it with the approved budget. Receipts are archived digitally so they can be handed to your accountant or auditor; accounting and tax filings are handled by qualified accountants.

Before work begins, the approval process is documented in a written agreement defined by the investor: the amount that may be spent within an approved budget without separate approval, the amounts that require prior written approval, who is authorized to approve, the accepted approval channel (email or a documented platform), and what counts as a major decision reserved to the investor, such as signing contracts, choosing partners or changing scope. Every approval is kept with its date in the project log.

Practical example

Illustrative scenario

Monthly support for a project in setup

An investor living abroad is fitting out an office and hiring a small team and wants follow-up without frequent travel.

  1. Contact person, reporting rhythm and channels are agreed in writing.
  2. The investor sets a spending threshold within the budget and the amounts that require prior written approval.
  3. A weekly report covers status, spending and open decisions.
  4. A new provider contract is submitted to the investor as a major decision and executed after written approval.
  5. A monthly statement with receipts is handed to the investor's accountant.

This is an illustrative scenario explaining how we work, not a client reference.

How we work together

  1. Kick-off agreement

Contact person, scope, reporting rhythm and communication channels are defined.

  2. Document the approval process

The investor sets thresholds, authorities, approval method and major decisions in writing.

  3. Ongoing follow-up

Tasks and appointments are coordinated and spending and receipts recorded.

  4. Reports and approvals

Regular reports are sent and payments and decisions requiring approval are submitted.

  5. Periodic review

Scope, budget and approval process are reviewed and adjusted when needed by written agreement.

Intended results

  • A clear, ongoing view of project status from abroad.
  • Documented spending linked to receipts and the budget.
  • Major decisions stay with the investor, with approvals documented.
  • Defined responsibilities and tasks for each party.

What we need from you

  • Definition of the support scope and required tasks.
  • Approved budget, spending thresholds and approval limits.
  • Names of persons authorized to approve and the accepted channel.
  • Required reporting rhythm and language.
  • Responses to approval requests within an agreed timeframe.

Basis for cost and timeline

Cost depends on the scope of support, reporting rhythm, number of providers and ongoing tasks. The service is usually provided as a monthly retainer with a defined scope, with separate tasks quoted individually. Amounts paid to providers and official fees are separate from IAG's fees and appear in the cost overviews.

Frequently asked questions

Can you make payments on our behalf?

Only if the agreement provides for it and within the thresholds and approval method you define, with every payment documented by its receipt.

Who sets the spending thresholds?

You do. We document them in a written agreement, and they can be changed at any time by a new written agreement.

What counts as a major decision?

You define it in the agreement; it usually includes signing contracts, choosing partners, changing scope and any commitment beyond the approved budget.

Do you do the official accounting?

No. We organize statements and receipts; accounting and tax filings are handled by qualified accountants.

What if we cannot be reached for an urgent decision?

We agree in advance on an authorized deputy or an interim procedure; otherwise the decision waits until approval is available.
